Vampires
Vampires are magical creatures whose soul instead of passing along, continues to live inside the deceased body. Apart from none of their interal organs functioning, they still resemble a human's appearance almost to the exact. Their corpse remains intact and doesn't rot, along with consisting with the same appearance as when the human died; Due to magically being preserved. This results in that the vampires' appearance never ages, instead they become immortal.
Vampires aren't able to survive upon a normal human diet, instead they survive on blood; Either it be human or animal blood. They can die from desiccation which is a vampire's reverse version of when a human starves to death. They are though able to ingest a human diet, however it's not something they can survive upon.
Their eyes carry their original colour whenever they are fed, however the more increased their hunger becomes the more visible will the colour red become - Eventually taking over their normal eyecolour.
When hunting, a vampire's face transforms into where they receive fangs, bloody veins appear underneath their eyes along with their eyecolour turning completely red.
How to become a vampire:
In order to become a vampire, a human must be killed with vampire blood in their system. The blood must have been ingested within a 24 hours span, otherwise the transaction won't succeed and the human will die.
A newborn vampire obtains every skill an older vampire possesses. However, their skills are less developed and just time can advance them. The newborn will be sired to the whose Vampire's blood they have in their system, not their killer unless those are the same person, of course. The newborn will be sired until they have learned the ways of a vampire, though the sire is able to remove the bond before the education is completed.
To keep in mind though, is that if a sire breaks off the bond before edcuation is completed and the newborn goes rabid etc, The Harbringers will deliver a punishment to the newborn's sire if they newborn breaks any rule as it is their job to have taught them right from wrong.
Physical skills increased:
- Speed They are able to accelerate into an abnormal speed. Move between short distances within the blink of an eye. When running for longer distances, they appear blurred for a human's vision.
- Strength. Their strength increases along time. However, a newborn vampire still has a good advantage over a fully grown human. A vampire with some years on its neck, would without much effort rip out a human's inner organs or snap their neck etc.
Thanks to their strength, vampires can jump higher and longer than a natural creature.
- Agility. Such as mentioned before with the ability to jump higher and longer, but also the capability of climbing with little too no shown exhaustion.
- Senses. A vampire's sense are all increased in comparison to a human's, such as smell, hearing and sight.
Their hearing capability is increased to such that they can clearly hear an ongoing, hushed conversation while standing quite a distance afar.
Their smelling capability is increased to such that they can smell the trace of blood from a several meters distance.
Lastly their vision is increased and allows them to see in complete darkness.
- Durability & Healing. Vampires are able to endure a lot more physical damage in comparison to a human without being slowed down or badly injured. It's even possible for a vampire who has been shot with some kind of wooden bullets to still continue fighting, for as long as their heart nor head hasn't been hit.
Along with their increased durability, Vampires' wounds and injuries heal a lot quicker than a human's. They are even able to snap dislocated bones back into place.
Weaknesses
- Snapped neck. Breaking a vampire's neck won't kill them, however it would make them unconscious for an unknown amount of time; Differing between the vampire's strength and age.
- Werewolf bite. A bite from a werewolf is lethal to a vampire and oftenly results in them falling into an immense disease before passing away. There is a cure for a werewolf bite, which only can be received from The Harbringers and often comes with a price.
- Wood. Any wood related weapon will cause greater damage to a vampire than any other weapon and can if hurting the heart, kill a vampire. Such as a wooden stake or wooden bullets etc.
- Fire. Vampires are easily flammable and will most oftently be lit on fire after killed, to ensure that they won't reappear.
- Sunlight. A vampire entering the sunlight results their skin to boil and become burnt, eventually the vampire will be lit on fire. There are special, magic rings which protects the vampire and makes them immune and unharmed when entering sunlight. However, the ring only works when the vampire is wearing it. When removed, the vampire will be vulnerable towards sunlight again. Such a ring can be received from The Harbringers, at a cost.
- Beheading. Behead a vampire and they instantly die.
